1. Service Description

Rate My RCIC is a community-powered platform designed for reviewing Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs). We display publicly available data sourced from the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) registry to help users make informed decisions.

2. Not Affiliated with CICC

Rate My RCIC is an independent platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) or any government agency.

3. User Accounts

To participate in our community, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Users must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or post content.

4. Reviews and Content

Reviews posted on Rate My RCIC represent the personal opinions and experiences of our users, not the views of Rate My RCIC.

  • Users certify that their reviews are based on genuine, personal experiences with the consultant.
  • Reviews must not contain defamatory, fraudulent, harassing, discriminatory, or illegal content.
  • Users are limited to one review per consultant, though reviews can be edited to reflect updated experiences.
  • We reserve the right to remove or moderate reviews that violate our community guidelines.
  • While anonymous reviews are permitted on the public platform, user identity information is stored internally for verification and security purposes.

5. Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of the content they post. However, by posting a review, you grant Rate My RCIC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, distribute, and use that content in connection with our services.

6. Consultant Data

Information about consultants is sourced from the publicly available CICC registry. Digital audit scores and rankings are based on our proprietary analysis. While we make reasonable efforts to keep this data current, we do not guarantee its absolute accuracy or completeness.

7. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Rate My RCIC is not responsible for any decisions made, or actions taken, based on reviews or consultant data found on the site. We do not provide legal advice.

8. Takedown Requests

Consultants may request a review of content they believe is defamatory or factually inaccurate. We will investigate such requests and provide a response within 10 business days.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in behavior that harms the community or the platform's integrity.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
